The Minister for Roa alt ds Hon. Franklin Bett, plants the signage to symbolise the renaming of Murkokey Bridge to Kalya Bridge in the presence of Marakwet East MP Hon. Linah Jebii Kilimo. 'Kalya' translates to 'Peace' which the bridge symbolises as it links the Marakwet and Pokot communiteis who have had disputes in the past.
