Kenya Rural Roads Authority - KeRRA is a State Corporation whose mandate is to offer guidance in the construction, maintenance and management of the rural road network in the country. KeRRA is responsible for the management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads (D, E & Others).

  The Minister for Roaaltds Hon. Franklin Bett, plants the signage to symbolise the renaming of Murkokey Bridge to Kalya Bridge in the presence of Marakwet East MP Hon. Linah Jebii Kilimo. 'Kalya' translates to 'Peace' which the bridge symbolises as it links the Marakwet and Pokot communiteis who have had disputes in the past.
