The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for Management, Development, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Rural roads.
The KeRRA-Vihiga Region hereby invites bids from eligible Construction Companies to bid for Routine Maintenance and Spot Improvement Works on various roads in the county as listed below to be financed by the Government of Kenya under RLMF22% & 10%, GoK Development .

Following the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent presidential directive; bidders are advised to make their own arrangements to (adhering to this directive any other subsequent directives) to visit the sites before quoting.
Tenderers shall be required together with their bid; submit the following; unless otherwise stated:
- Valid NCA certificate for Road- works from National Construction Authority
- Certified Copies of certificate of registration, Certificate of Incorporation and principal place of business;
- Experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years, and clients who may be contacted for further information on these contracts;
- Major items of construction equipment owned;
- Qualifications and experience of key site management and technical personnel proposed for the Contract;
- Reports on the financial standing of the Tenderer, such as profit and loss statements and auditor’s reports or bank statements for the last three months;
- Registration with National Construction Authority for the applicable class valid at the date of tender of submission
- Valid current Tax compliance certificate
- current litigation information
- Certified CR 12

Completed tender documents in Wax sealed plain envelopes marked with Tender reference and road name description, without bidder’s identity, should be deposited in the clearly marked Tender Box located at the Regional Office or be addressed and sent to;

So as to be received on or before Wednesday 30th December 2020 at 9:00 AM. Following the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent presidential directive, the opening of bids will immediately take place at the Regional Manager’s Office in the presence of a few Bidders who will be chosen to witness the opening. Bids submitted after this prescribed time shall be rejected.
The documents MUST be duly Sequentially paginated (1,2,3,4….).
