TENDER NOTICE

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF VARIOUS ROADS IN OLJORO-OROK CONSTITUENCY IN THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2020/2021 

The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) is a State corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads.

The Authority invites bids from Eligible construction companies who are Registered in KeRRA Nyandarua Region & or AGPO Registered Firms to bid for the Routine Maintenance of various Roads as listed below to be financed by the Government of Kenya through GOK Allocation in the Financial Year 2020-2021.

In order to manage the spread of COVID-19, Pre-Tender Site visits will NOT be conducted. However, bidders are encouraged to visit the project sites for more insight on the project roads before bidding.

Qualification for Tendering

Tenderers shall include the following information and documents with their tenders, unless otherwise stated:

• Certified Copies of Certificates of Incorporation/ Registration, and Principal Place of Business;
• Valid Registration with National Construction Authority & Practicing Licence
• Valid Current Tax compliance certificate (d) PIN and VAT Registration certificates
• Serialisation of all the pages in the bid document.
• Certified CR12 & ID copies
• Prequalification in Nyandarua region
• Reports on the financial standing of the Tenderer, financial statements and auditor’s reports for the last two years
• Experience in works of a similar nature and size
• Major items of construction equipment owned;
• Qualifications and experience of key site management and technical personnel proposed (l)           Current litigation information
• Serialization of all the pages of the tender document (this should be in the format of 1,2,3,4,5…….) from the first page to the last page
• A tender security of Ksh. 100,000.00 in the form of unconditional bank guarantee from a reputable bank selected by the bidder and located in Kenya, or insurance bond issued by a bonding or insurance company acceptable to the Employer and approved by the PPOA. The format of the bank/ insurance guarantee shall be in accordance with bid security included in the tender document and shall remain valid for a period of 30 days beyond the date of bid validity.
• All Certifications of documents SHALL be original and executed by a Commissioner for Oaths or Notaries Public
• Other Requirements are as specified in the respective tender documents.

Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and download Tender documents detailing additional requirements, specification and scope of works from  the Authority’s website www.kerra.go.ke free of charge from 6^th January,2021.

Completed tender documents should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with the Tender Name, Tender Number and deposited in the Tender Box located within the Kenya Rural Roads Authority Nyandarua Region Offices, or be addressed and posted to the below address on or before the opening/closing dates and time given.

So as to be received on or before Tuesday, 19^th January, 2021 at 10:00 am. Opening of the tenders will take place immediately. Only a few Bidders will be chosen to witness the Opening of tenders. due to Covid 19 Pandemic.

Bids not received at the submission venue by the closing date and time will not be accepted for opening and will be rejected and returned unopened.
