The Kenya Rural Roads Authority, Machakos Region invites Bids from eligible construction firms, Pre –qualified in Machakos Region in respective Constituencies and Categories for 10%CS.Road Works for F/Y 2020/2021 as outlined below.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR BIDDING UNDER ALL CATEGORY(S)

 The Requirements for bidding are as follows:-

1. Pre-qualified under Specified Category (s) and Constituency
2. Certified Copy of Certificate of Incorporation.
3. Copy of NCA 6,7 & 8 to be verified through NCA website and Practicing License
4. Copy of Valid Tax Compliance to be verified through KRA TCC checker
5. Certified Copy of PIN & VAT Registration.
6. Certified & Very Clear Copies of National ID or Passport of all Directors of the company
7. Provide Tender Validity Date On the Form of Tender.
8. Dully Filled Environmental and Social Commitment Form
9. Signed, and Filled Bills of Quantities
10. Dully Stamped, Priced, Signed and Witnessed Form of Tender
11. Dully Stamped, Filled and completed business questionnaire
12. Proof of having Opened a Bank Account in the Company’s Name
13. Professional and Technical Personnel Minimum of Diploma in Civil Engineering for the Persons to be engaged in undertaking the Works
14. Properly filled Anti – Corruption Pledge Form in the Tender Document.
15. Current Litigation History Certified by a Commissioner Oaths
16. Certified Copy of Current/Valid CR12
17. Bidders shall Sequentially Serialize all Pages using Machine.
18. Filled Schedule of Ongoing Projects (If Any)
19. Average Annual Construction turnover of 1 million the last 3 years
20. Financial Performance Minimum working capital of Ksh: 500,000

1. Equipment Holding, if Owned then attach Proof of Ownership or Valid Lease Agreement for Hired Equipment   

Or Agreement from Mechanical and Transport Fund Department within the last 1 year.

22. Fully filled Bid Document (Completeness of Bid Document)
23. Provide brief Work Methodology
24. Copy of Completion Certificate for Previous Similar Works
25. Alteration must be endorsed with company stamp

26. DUE TO COVID 19 PENDAMIC CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE ROADS

Qualifications for those bidding for the Youth, Women and Persons with Disability Reserved Contracts;

They need not to be prequalified in the constituency but must provide the following;

1. Certified Registration Certificate with National Treasury under the category of AGPO Group
2. Certified Copy of Certificate of Incorporation.
3. Copy of NCA 7 & 8 Only to be verified through NCA website and Practicing License
4. Copy of Valid Tax Compliance to be verified through KRA TCC checker
5. Certified Copy of PIN & VAT Registration.
6. Certified & Very Clear Copies of National ID or Passport
7. Provide Tender Validity Date On the Form of Tender.
8. Dully Filled Environmental and Social Commitment Form
9. Signed and Filled Bills of Quantities
10. Dully Filled, Signed and Stamped Form of Tender Security Declaration Form.
11. Dully Stamped, Priced, Signed and Witnessed Form of Tender

23. DUE TO COVID 19 PENDAMIC CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE ROADS

 NOTE:

1. Certification of Documents shall be Original and Executed by a Commissioner for Oaths.
2. A bidder will ONLY be considered for ONE contract in the Constituency and not more than TWO in the whole Region under this program.
3. Firms with the same Directors Bidding under different names for the same Contract will be Ineligible.
4. The Bidders shall Apply VAT@ 16%
5. A Bidder should not be under Debarment by PPRA

Should be deposited in the Respective Tender Boxes for Each Constituency at the Regional Office so as to be Received on or before 17^th May 2021 at 11:00 am.

Opening of the tenders will take place at the same place at 11.15 a.m. on the same day in the presence of the Bidders or their Representatives who wish to attend.
